This private residence in Homer Glen has just over 2 acres of property and wanted to convert sections of their lawn to a natural prairie. Not only does turf to prairie conversion save on maintenance and constant mowing, it creates much needed habitat for wildlife. An additional need for this property, was to create a multi-purpose use of the property for local photographers to rent and use with beautiful, natural backdrops.
Pizzo and Associates manages all of the established natural areas. Our partnership came to fruition years back when the family asked Pizzo to restore the property. We continuously steward the property and perform controlled burns every year to help encourage more dense wildflowers and growth.
Not only have we restored natural beauty to the property but we’ve created habitat for wildlife and organisms to thrive.
